Prayer Yields Transformation
Jackson's Story

By: Tommy Green | Director, The Prayer Room

April 22, 2025

Jackson came to The Prayer Room for the first time in early March to receive healing prayer. His neighbor found our ministry on the internet and called to see if I'd be willing to meet with him. For many years, she's carried a deep burden for Jackson to experience deliverance from occult and witchcraft practices, and freedom from drug abuse.

Jackson's life has always been extremely difficult. He was abandoned as an infant because he was born with severe autistic impediments. Later on in life he also developed schizophrenia. He carries multiple layers of excruciating anguish. The substance abuse has compounded his pain and left him even more prone to destructive forces of darkness.

But Jesus is greater! And His love, His light, and His life are breaking through! At The Prayer Room Jackson is being embraced in community by people who believe that in the Lord, healing and hope are not just possible, but inevitable. Personally, it's been one of my greatest joys this year to get to know Jackson and spend time praying with him and talking about Jesus.

He's even started to pray also! The other day, I picked him up to run errands. Somehow between the post office and my car I lost a check. I looked everywhere - my car, the parking lot, back inside the post office, back in the car. Jackson said he wanted to give me $100 from his own disability check to cover the loss - his kindness was really sweet and touched me powerfully. I told him that I was going to get out and look for it one more time.

He said, "I'm gonna pray right now that you find it." While he prayed I got out of the car, and in that very split second I saw something shining in the sun about 50 yards away. As I walked straight to the missing check I smiled the whole way, knowing that the Lord was smiling too. Jackson was overjoyed that he had prayed and been heard.

The kingdom comes incrementally. Little by little, Jackson's heart is coming more and more alive as the Lord continues to awaken him to a love that never fails. May is be so for us all.
